We believe firmly in the
importance of establishing
balanced and healthy
eating habits early on in life.
A balanced diet is vital for a
child’s growth and
development. Eating habits
formed in childhood have a
tendency to be continued
into adulthood, so if bad
habits are formed they are
likely to continue. We do this
through having a healthy
menu and through
promoting understanding of
healthy eating through the
curriculum. The food our
children eat affects every
aspect of their lives: their
mood, behaviour, growth,
even their ability to
concentrate. Good nutrition
is vital to a child's health from
building strong bones and
teeth to the healthy
development of internal
organs and overall growth.
All our food is healthy, tasty
and cooked on site in well
equipped kitchens by our
friendly cooks! We use fresh,
wholesome ingredients and
source our meat from a local
butcher. Our cooks work hard to produce food of
an excellent standard that is always homemade.
We provide breakfast, morning snack, lunch and a
light tea for the children. We can cater for a
vegetarian diet and also for children with food
allergies and intolerances. Fresh water is available
for the children throughout the day and milk is
served at morning snack. For our babies solid food is
prepared to suit the individual needs of each child.
We work in partnership with our parents when
weaning starts and endeavour to follow whichever
approach you have chosen; from a traditional style
through to baby led weaning. We believe that
meal-times should be a happy, sociable time where
different, healthy foods are tasted and eating skills
can be developed.

Children enjoy a wide range of healthy, nutritious
meals and snacks and regular drinks to support their
physical well-being. They demonstrate their
understanding of the importance of healthy eating
habits as they talk about food that is good for their
bodies and helps them grow.
